The European Patent Office (EPO), having previously granted and given a positive opinion on the merits of Radio Tactics' European Patent concerning its Handset Access Card, entitled "forensic toolkit and method for accessing data on the SIM or USIM cards", has decided to revoke it following opposition proceedings. Radio Tactics are surprised by this decision, but fully intend to appeal at an early opportunity. The filing of such an appeal will have suspensive effect meaning that the revocation is not made final until the outcome of the Appeal.
Note that Radio Tactics’ related European Patent No. EP1717767 (under the same title) is not affected by this decision.
To enable ACESO operators to manage data volume more effectively and comply with the principles of proportionality, Radio Tactics introduce the sub-reporting feature in ACESO V6.3.
